Vivisection
Pain. Vivisection. Blessing. Vivisection again and again. Death.
Artworks go across the superficial ideals and try to open doors to other dimensions (psychological, philosophical, sociological…) leading to a reflection upon the construction or destruction of identity and human behaviour as well as raising moral questions of the exploitation of others. The whole series is the mixture of despair, spiced with a pinch of cold beauty, pain, apathy and cynicism. More information about the project. Futuristic Vision

Fashion by Giedrius Šarkauskas TalesThere's nothing happy about fairytale endings. . .
We are trying to run from all things that we are not able to explain. Life is the beauty and the tragedy in the same pattern. We are creating fairy tales and making up things to protect ourselves from cruel reality, we are trying to hide in our imaginary wonderland, but often we forget that our dreams and nightmares are just the reflection of the world we are living in. These are the things that we must attempt to explain through our own minds. The world between imagination and fatality is endless. It is kind of desolate journey to the back of beyond. . . And it requires much deeper thinking to release the sadness of at the first glance ideal life, a fairy tale we are trying to live in. . . |
