Mutatio

With the brand new artworks series "Mūtātiō" AIWS gets out of the shadows in order to dive deeply into the world of mutation.
These series talk about the transformation from one body to another. From one stage to another. From one moment to another. They open the doors of the deeper connections between species, where we can see a huge inequality, often twisted in a metaphorical way. There is no wrong or right, there is more than one side and lots of questions about relations between one kind to another. And we, as a humankind, are just one piece in this intersectional spiderweb.
At the same time through the artworks AIWS investigates on the link between pleasure and self harm and what is beyond that. Why it may hurt for a number of reasons. Sometimes it’s because you forget those painful parts or that red spot of blood on your chest that contains smell and puts you closer to the final destination. Or your own smile that time you knew things you shouldn't have. Sometimes it hurts just because you know someone else has experienced the same thing and there was nothing you could do, just silently observe and move on. But sometimes it’s the most painful when you realise others know you are hurt. They take away your pain. And there is nothing left, and you feel empty. Because your pain and your loneliness was the only truthful thing you had.

So this is a deep shout to the Universe.
Do not cut your eyes out. Do not let others silence you.
Look. Think. Feel. And do something about it.
About the author. AIWS is an art product that is hooked on images of silence, human race, uniforms, absurd, one sided objects and searches for the perfection that we will never reach.

And finally my special thank you goes to:
Laima - for being my Muse, my inspiration, my everything
Theresa - for being kind enough to go to Cologne with me and offering help, always being ready to talk about art (especially my art) and for everything else
Tommi - for making this art show possible
Verena - for putting up with me through all these years, for inspiring not to give up when things get way too bad and for being as awesome as you are
Diana - for always being here for me, really caring about stuff, analysing my artworks and noticing things no one else does
Pierre - for being one of the most supportive and encouraging human beings I've ever met
+ Santa Hates You - for believing in me, interacting through social media, fighting the system, creating fabulous music and for the sweetest birthday wishes
And of course many thanks to all my friends, other special creatures and everyone else who somehow helped to make all this reality:
Natalie, Cynthia, Bernard, Eva + Steffen, Karolina, Jen + John, Frank, Helen, Peter, Adrian, Jule, Frank + Silke, D.A., Santa Hates You, Aga, Aneta, Claudia, Terry, Robin, Katja, Marija, Jade, Aušra, Yumi, Hannah, Katja, Dirk, Dagija, Paul, Jeannie, Hans, Kristina, everyone who came to my previous exhibitions and talked to me about art, life, universe, animal rights and many other things, everyone who wrote me encouraging emails and messages telling what my works meant to you, musicians who create the most awesome dark electronic music
+ everyone else who offered their help, support and everything else without me asking for, who talked about my works, bought them and shared with the rest of the world.
THANK YOU! You keep me going.
